CRTNY

CRTNY is the stage name of the independent producer, singer, and composer Courtney A. -- born in Montgomery, Alabama. CRTNY is the founder and owner Lavandula Records (name inspired by lavenders and purple) based in Texas. Since the age of 15, CRTNY has been producing a managerie of music and teaching herself to play instruments such as the piano and guitar. During the pandemic in 2020, CRTNY's first releases included "swedish fish," "jazzy boo in B minor," and her "To Be Unpretty" beat tape which showcased exceptions to odd time signatures and avant-garde productions packed with heavy instruments with the juxatopostion of Jazz and contemporary Soul sonics. In 2024, she established Lavandula Records that house more of her recents works with "mending experiments," being the first EP released under the label as well as other works such as "dit dit," "Quantomorphs Vol. I and II," and "capricious voyage" EP.
